Nowadays, hot springs and hammams are strongly recommended by doctors for treatment of various illnesses and disorders. Plan structure of hammam designs may have a layout based on traditional methods. This layout should be related to methods set in an order as cold (frigidarium), warm (tepidarium) and hot (caldarium).
History of Hammam:
Hammam dates back to the Romans. Excavations in Pompeii – which was covered in ashes after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius – have revealed baths that the Romans used. It is understood that those baths were used not only for cleaning, but also for pleasure and entertainment. Entrance doors and bathing rooms in hammams for slaves and nobles were separated by reason of class distinction of the Romans. There were also places for steam baths, cold water and hot water in Roman baths.
